Zentyal in the 1st National Congress on Free Software for Self-employed (18-19 March, Zaragoza, Spain)

Zentyal will participate in the first National Congress on Free Software for Self-employed that will be held in Zaragoza (Spain), on the 18th and 19th of March 2011. The event is organized by the Spanish Union of Self-employed Professionals (UPTA) and the National Reference Center for ICT Based on Open Source Software (CENATIC) and it aims at introducing FLOSS based software solutions to Spain’s self-employed workforce, that currently consists of over three million professionals.

During the congress Ignacio Correas, CEO of Zentyal, will present the prototype of the Zentyal SOHO Server solution that will be launched officially later this year and he will also participate in a round table discussion about the role of the free and open source software (FOSS) in the new production model and the influence of public policies on it. In addition, Jorge Salamero, Zentyal systems analyst and developer, will give a one-hour hands-on workshop on the Zentyal SOHO Server solution.

The Zentyal SOHO Server solution, that will be presented for the first time in the congress, integrates hardware, software and services, specially designed for small and home offices (SOHO) with up to ten users. This solution includes the functionality of Office server, Unified Threat Manager (UTM) and Gateway and in addition, it can include AbanQ’s ERP/CRM solution specifically designed for SOHO. The solution will be launched globally during the third quarter of 2011. Until then, the solution is available as a prototype with special conditions and advantages to the companies in the Spanish market.
