Among other new features, eBox Platform 1.2 also includes a new hardware monitoring module, a new and more usable installer and a large number of general improvements that increase the functionality of eBox Platform.

“We consider eBox Platform 1.2 as the first partner-ready version” said Ignacio Correas, CEO of eBox Technologies. “Besides providing a perfect blend of network services, eBox Platform 1.2 also offers registration of different eBox installations in eBox Control Center, a service that allows simultaneous and centralized real-time monitoring and administration of multiple eBox installations. Through eBox Control Center our partners are provided with remote access, managed services and advanced support for groups of eBox networks.”

From now on, eBox Platform will be released every six months. The next stable release will be eBox Platform 1.4 which is expected for January 2010, including enhancements that will center on improvements in usability and service-related features.
