Zentyal, the developer of a Linux small business server of the same name, published today the Release Policy that Zentyal servers will follow from the 2.0 release onwards. This release policy defines, for the first time, frequency and timetable as well as the official support policy of the stable releases.

eBox Technologies announced today that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Single Box Solutions, part of Netser Group, located in Dominican Republic. Netser Group is an important system integrator and Microsoft/Unix/Linux service provider with a number of branches in South America. As a part of the agreement, Single Box Solutions will promote eBox Platform, the Linux Small Business Server, in the Dominican Republic market and will distribute eBox based server products and services throughout the country as an Authorized eBox Partner.

eBox Technologies, developer of the Linux small business server eBox Platform, announced today that eBox Platform will change its name to Zentyal in order to reflect more accurately the product and the services based on it. The change will become effective from the 1st of September, with the launch of the new 2.0 version of the server software. Simultaneously, the company eBox Technologies will also change it’s name to Zentyal.

eBox Technologies announced today a new version of the eBox Control Center, a product that allows centralized monitoring and administration of multiple eBox servers. This version includes new features such as automatic configuration of alerts or users’ password security strength audit. In addition, important visual improvements in the Web User Interface have taken place, as well as general improvements in the Quality Assured (QA) software updates that guarantee that every eBox Platform security patch and bugfix update are extensively tested and approved before being applied to customer’s installations.
