We’re seeking for a results driven and autonomous sowftware developer, motivated at working in a start-up environment and being part of an Open Source project. Applicants must be able to integrate knowledge and skills from a range of technologies and to research and implement new technologies to create solutions and also maintain existing software.

Education, experience, language skills:

  • Graduated in any software related degree.
  • Fluent in English.

Technical skills:

  • Experience in Perl or Python.
  • Experience in GNU/Linux (Debian or Ubuntu) networking and service administration (LDAP, Samba, Apache, etc).
  • Experience in Window Server: Plus.

Other skills:

  • Ability to integrate knowledge and skills from a range of technologies.
  • Organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with QA and Continous Integration tools: Plus.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and document new Zentyal Server and/or Desktop features.
  • Test and maintain software.

Tech Support Engineer I

We are looking for a technical support engineer with some experience in support processes and tools, to work in a fast growing open source start-up, challenged by demanding clients and partners worldwide. Ideally, you would be specially skilled in understanding people’s problems and solving them. Moreover, you would love following and writing procedures and hints in order to make our support organization more useful and effective.

Educational and language requirements:

  • Graduated in any software related degree.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Technical skills:

  • 0-2 years of experience in Software Support or Development, or IT systems administration.
  • Good knowlegde of GNU/Linux systems (Ubuntu, Debian).
  • Some knowledge of Perl or Python would be also appreciated.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Review and solve 1st level technical issues of our clients and partners.
  • Grow and improve technical support knowledge base.
  • Update and improve technical documentation.
  • Implement QA tests to increase code coverage.
  • Answer technical queries from internal users.

Education, experience, language skills:

  • Degree in any software related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience.
  • Mother tongue: English or Spanish.
  • Fluent: English and Spanish.

Technical skills:

  • Experience in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
  • Experience in databases.
  • Experience in SEO, SEM.
  • Experience in graphical design tools: Photoshop, Vector graphics, Gimp… .
  • Experience in system administration: Plus.
  • Experience in MVC frameworks (Django, Rails, etc.): Plus.

Other skills:

  • Ability to integrate knowledge and skills from a range of technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Monitor and analyze the web traffic, optimize websites.
  • Implement, customize and automate web-based applications.
  • Extract, integrate, treat and analyze data from web-based applications.
  • Create, maintain and update multimedia materials for the websites.
  • Support for SEO and SEM campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
